Friends star Lisa Kudrow can't celebrate wedding anniversary with her husband
by Nola OjomuLisa Kudrow and her Friends co-stars were meant to be seen together for the highly-ancitpated reunion special today (May 27).
But naturally, all plans came to an abrupt halt when the coronavirus pandemic made filming impossible due to social distancing safety measures.
And the actress revealed that there’s another thing she isn’t able to celebrate as planned today – her 25th wedding anniversary with husband Michael Stern.
Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Lisa explained: ‘I’m quarantined with my son… and my husband sometimes.’
The actress went on to reveal that the family had been in lockdown together in Palm Springs but she chose to move back to her main home when it got to hot in ‘the desert’.
While her husband stayed behind in Palm Springs due to some renovations being done by works.
So this means the pair aren’t able to celebrate their big day together!
But Lisa isn’t too bothered as she laughed: ‘We are so used to not being together on our wedding anniversary anyway. We’re a bit like “Oh well, I still love you. You still love me? Yeah, great. We’re good.”‘
Lisa and Michael tied the knot back in 1995 and three years later, they welcomed their only son Julian.
Meanwhile, the actress will eventually reunite with her Friends co-star Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer for a one-off recorded special later this year.
Despite the show being postponed, Lisa has promised it’s worth the wait and even she’s not sure what to expect.
She told Entertainment Tonight: ‘I can’t wait for it to happen. The six of us haven’t been in a room together in front of people in 25 years and only once a few years ago, privately for dinner.
‘I can only imagine [what’s going to happen]. It’s gonna be fun. I mean, it’ll be really fun.’
Friends is available now on HBO MAX in the US, and on Netflix in the UK.
