Dad posts hilarious review online after visiting daughter's restaurant for lunch

A dad who posted an adorable review for his daughter's restaurant has seen it go viral after melting the hearts of thousands on social media.

Christophe Kyle wanted to support a newly opened business in town and headed to Ava's Kitchen for lunch to see what it was all about.

His decidedly mixed review questioned the chef's decision to take a 20 minute break to watch PAW Patrol while he waited for the order, but excused the service as the cook was a 'cutie'.

The review on Instagram, complete with a heartwarming picture showing his daughter Ava in a chef's hat and apron, racked up thousands of likes as others scrambled to make a reservation.

His post read: "So I tried to support another Black Owned Business for lunch today. It’s called Ava’s Kitchen, just opened end of April.

"It’s a very clean establishment, but whewww let me tell you about this owner.

"First off, I asked why there are balloons on my chair, and it’s not my birthday? She talm’bout, mind yah business; those are Mommy’s.

"I been waiting on my order to get done for 45 minutes, and I’m the only customer here. She was making good progress at first, then she stopped for 20 minutes to go watch PAW Patrol.

"Overall the customer service could be better, but the cook is a cutie; so I’ll give her another chance. Let’s not give up on Black businesses so fast after one mistake."

It appeared to give the start-up restaurant the exposure it needed to get business up and running, as one commented: "Can I please get a reservation for 8pm?"

Others were left seriously impressed by the kitchen which opens out into the restaurant for customer's to be able to experience how their food is made, as another said: "Ava's got a more friggin' high end kitchen than me!'

A third said: "Thank you for this post, it's been making my day ever since you put it up!"

Christophe added an update after seeing the success of Ava's business soar, saying that he had returned and she now how a line of people queuing down the street to get in.

Unfortunately, they'll simply have to wait because PAW Patrol is on.
