Watt brands Rangers fans grasses after they call out Gallagher for liking ‘Hun tears’ post
by David FowlerTONY WATT has labelled a Rangers fan account 'grasses' after they contacted Motherwell regarding Declan Gallagher's Twitter activity.
The popular 'Four Lads Had a Dream' page sent a tweet to the Steelmen's offical after they spotted Gallagher liking a tweet showing a doctored bottle of MD 2020 which read 'hun tears' flavour.
The Gers fan account wrote: "Is it acceptable for ‘Scotland centre back’ to like tweets promoting sectarian statements like ‘hun tears’?
"I mean it’s 2020, it’s not a good look is it? I assume he’s fully up to date with diversity training etc? He is Scotland centre back after all."
Well striker and ex-Celtic man Watt shared the tweet and wrote: "4 lads had a dream are grasses... pass it on."
The account went on to say: "Can you imagine if a Rangers supporting Scotland international did as such? Asking for parity & professionalism is wrong?
"If it wasn’t an issue, not a problem etc, why did the player unlike it?"
And Watt hit back asking why they failed to call out Nacho Novo over his comment regarding Phil O'Donnell's death.
He said: "Why didn’t you call out Nacho for his comment he then deleted two weeks ago"
The striker then admitted his team-mate shouldn't have liked the post, saying: "I don’t think he should have liked it. I’ve liked many things and not thought about it til after. @declang31 is very good mates with @Cjnovo992, do you think he would be sectarian?
"He gets abused off fans and just liked when people slaughter them back. Probably didn’t realise..."
One Rangers fan replied to Watt's post, asking: "How come you and @declang31 are so transfixed on Rangers articles and act as cheerleaders for Celtic fans and the club. Whilst all of this currently playing for a rival team within that division. Should Motherwell fans question your loyalty and commitment ?"
But Gallagher himself hit back at the tweet, writing: "Think you’ll find I've never once tweeted first about Rangers or been a Celtic cheerleader but tell me why Rangers fans want to post about me on Motherwell's Twitter page that has nothing to do with them. Deluded"
SunSport has contacted Motherwell for comment.
Gallagher came through the youth ranks at Celtic before being released in 2011 where he moved on to Clyde.

Meanwhile, Motherwell No2 Keith Lasley admits the devastating news of Christian Mbulu's death has left him feeling ‘numb’.
Lasley said: “Shocked and devastated are the only words I can think of.
“But I can’t honestly put into words how stunned we have been.
“For someone so young, fit and full of life to pass away just leaves us all numb.
“He was a joy in the dressing room and, from a coaching perspective, was a dream to have in the building.
“He exuded energy for anything he turned his attention to. Win, lose or draw, he brought joy, enthusiasm and was a real energy giver in the group.”
