The Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has announced plans to organise 200 new projects across the country by the end of March 2021. The news was reported by the Islamic Republic News Agency, a government body.

About 1.69 quadrillion rials ($40.23bn) has been invested in the planned projects, which are set to create job opportunities for 41,000 people.

The variety of projects selected can be characterised by factors like completing the industry’s value chain, reducing imports, being export-oriented, using technology, and creating jobs.
