A couple in Meerut part of India have called their newborn twins Quarantine and Sanitiser as a way to archive the present-day challenges caused by the deadly coronavirus.
When they were asked why they decided to choose such names, the couple said that both words are important in the fight against coronavirus, Gulf News reports.
“Both give us protection. So, this feeling of security should remain lifelong. These are the best names that we could have found for our children,” Dharmendra, the father, spoke for the family.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that in the same country, another family named their newborn twins Corona and Covid as they were born during the coronavirus pandemic.
They said the name would remind them about all the hardships they conquered amid the lockdown, ahead of successful delivery on March 26-27 at a government hospital in Raipur.
It was gathered that the couple said they may change their decision later and rename their kids.
Recall that the United Nations said that the ongoing Covid-19 lockdown could lead to about seven million pregnancies in the coming months and lead to big disruptions in health care services.

The same release said that 47 million women may not be able to access contraceptives should the Covid-19 lockdown go on for straight six months.
