We reviewed the OPPO Find X2 Pro, now it’s time to say hello to the supporting cast, Neo and Lite
by Peter HoldenIt’s been a little while since OPPO launched its premium flagship, the Find X2 Pro (review) back in March but now the sleek smartphone with optional Orange Vegan Leather is finally going on sale in the UK, along with its fellow flagship sibling, the Find X2. Also going on sale today is the supporting cast of mid-level handsets, the Find X2 Neo, and the Find X2 Lite, powered by the Snapdragon 765G processor and sporting 5G connectivity at a very affordable price.
OPPO Find X2 Neo
First up is the OPPO Find X2 Neo which being just 7.7mm thick is the world’s thinnest 5G smartphone. Despite its sleekness, the Neo still packs in a punch thanks to its 6.5-inch AMOLED curved display with FHD+ resolution (2400 x 1080), 90Hz refresh rate, and up to 1100 peak brightness. Powered by Qualcomm’s increasingly popular Snapdragon 765G processor and backed up by a massive 12GB of RAM, the Neo also sports 256GB of built-in storage.
Sporting quadruple rear cameras consisting of a 48MP main sensor with OIS, a 13MP telephoto lens with 5x Hybrid Zoom, an 8MP wide-angle lens with 115-degree field-of-view, and a dedicated 2MP mono camera. A 32MP selfie camera is housed in a punch-hole on the top-left corner of the display.
Along with the 4,025mAh battery, the Neo features 30 VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 charging technology that should recharge the phone in under an hour. Priced at £599, the Find X2 Neo is an affordable flagship and is available to order from today onwards in Moonlight Black and Starry Blue finishes.
OPPO Find X2 Lite
This is a phone that’s piqued the interest of many tech reviewers, sporting the same Snapdragon 765G processor, 5G connectivity, and a price tag of just £399, the Find X2 Lite is set to be the cheapest 5G handset available. While it isn’t as thin as the Neo, the Lite is just 7.96mm thick, weighs in at 180g, and is available in Moonlight Black and Pearl White finishes.
Complimenting the Qualcomm processor is 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage along with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 2400 x 1080 resolution and 408ppi. The quad-camera setup features a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens that doubles up as a macro lens, a 2MP dedicated Mono lens, and a 2MP dedicated Portrait lens. The punch-hole on the top left corner of the display houses the 32MP selfie camera.
Much like the Neo, the Lite sports a 4,025mAh battery with 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 technology that should recharge the phone in under an hour.
Which handset holds the most interest for you? The Neo with its slightly larger, higher spec display and extra RAM or the Lite that has 5G and a big display, as well as that wallet-friendly price of £399, let us know in the comments below.
