by

The Goa government has changed its Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for people entering the state. People entering the state through rail, road and air services will no longer have to stay quarantined for 14 days, whereas Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said on Wednesday that people should either bring a negative certificate of Corona or undergo a test.

Opposition parties in Goa had objected to the home quarantine citing surveillance, besides this as of Tuesday, there were 67 total Corona cases in Goa, out of which 39 are active cases. Pramod Sawant said that Goa is still in the green zone, because the infection is being controlled at the state border. CM said that the cabinet felt that a separate SOP is not required for those coming from Maharashtra, however, in Goa, 90 percent of the cases were from neighboring states.
