A Cheeky Nando's is Back on the Menu

by

One of the UK's fast food staples is opening up its doors in a handful of locations, so you can once again confuse the Americans with suggesting a socially distanced cheeky Nando's. It doesn't take much.

The purveyor of spicy poultry is reopening 54 stores across the UK for delivery and Click and Collect, and is implementing an array of safety measures to ensure it's operating safely - as you would expect. That includes reduced opening hours and a limited menu on the customer facing side of things, while staff will be asked if "they feel fit and well enough to come to work," which is an odd one. A number of other fast food chains that are beginning to reopen are taking staff temperatures at the start of each shift to ascertain whether they're fit for work. Teams will be smaller to make sure the two-metre social distancing rules can be observed and the cleaning regime is being beefed up.

Nando's won't be accepting walk-in or phone orders, before you decide to rock up for an impromptu bit of chicken, and there's a very specific collection procedure now, which you can check out here. So if you're in London, Liverpool, Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, or Belfast, it's Peri Peri time. You can check the website for the list of locations that have reopened for delivery and collection.

Nando's joins a growing list of restaurants making their way back into your life, including McDonald's, Burger King, Five Guys, KFC, Subway, Starbucks, and Pret.
