Which? launches new way to report delays to your flight refund

A number of customers have been waiting weeks for a flight refund

Which? has launched a tool for customers to report delays in flight refunds due to the coronavirus outbreak.

In a post on social media Which? are asking those who have had their flights affected by the outbreak whether the airlines are either denying a refund or offering vouchers as compensation for a cancelled flight.

On the website it goes on to state: "We’re compiling stories of airlines letting passengers down or breaking the law to take to the regulator.

"Report your flight refund experience below and we’ll share it with the Civil Aviation Authority as they conduct a review into the failure of airlines to refund passengers."

If you've been affected you can use the Which? tool on the website here and enter your personal details, the airline you booked to fly with, the length of time you've waited for a refund and how much you are owed.

This will then be shared with Civil Aviation Authority and you can also be contacted by Which? to talk about your situation further.

Ryanair recently confirmed it would reintroduce 40% of its flights from July 1, but Which? says: "Currently the UK government advises against all non-essential travel abroad, but even if this is lifted by 1 July, arrivals into the UK, including holidaymakers, will face 14 days quarantine.

"That makes most holidays impractical. Yet Ryanair customers will not be able to get a refund if their flight is running."

To find out more about your eligibility for a flight refund and to use the Which? tool go to the website here.
