Queens thief throws 61-year-old woman into street, steals purse

A Queens crook threw a 61-year-old woman to the ground and took off with her purse, disturbing new video shows.

Surveillance footage released by cops early Wednesday shows the suspect approaching the victim from behind around 7:25 a.m. May 19 on 97th Avenue near Brisbin Street in Jamaica, grabbing a hold of her purse — and then hurling the woman into the street when she wouldn’t let go.

The thief snatched the purse, holding the woman’s cell phone and $20, and left her on the ground before hopping into a waiting silver four-door sedan that fled west on 97th Avenue, and then north on Cresskill Place.

The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from the Queens Hospital Center.

Her attacker was still at large Wednesday morning.
