Police hunt man who exposed himself to woman in rural Stockport

Police are hunting man who exposed himself to a woman as she walked along a canal towpath in rural Stockport.

The woman was walking near Vale Road in Romiley when a man approached her and exposed himself.

The incident happened at around 11am on Tuesday, May 26.

Officers say the man was white, around 50-years-old and with full grey hair.

He was wearing striped clothing.

The incident was later reporter to Greater Manchester Police.

No arrests have been made.

Extra police patrols have been put on and officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

A statement posted on the GMP and Hazle Grove Facebook page said: "At about 11am yesterday morning (Tuesday 26th May 2020), a woman was walking along the canal towpath near to Vale Rd, Romiley, Stockport, when a man indecently exposed himself to her.

"He is described as white, about 50 years old, with full grey hair, and was wearing stripy clothing.

"Police are patrolling the area, and if you have any information, please contact us at Hazel Grove Police Station. Our email address is HazelGrove@gmp.police.uk."
