A stunned Scots shopper has pictured a man getting his messages - dressed as the Predator.

Masks and plastic gloves are now being more regularly worn as punters walk round the supermarket aisles during the coronavirus pandemic.

But one man visiting Morrisons in the Shawlands area of Glasgow has taken his protective equipment to the next level.

Donned in the full suit, with boots and fearsome looking gloves and a helmet with massive dredlocks dangling from the back of his head, the shopper caused a stir as he dressed as the famous movie alien.

Kirsty Waters snapped the pic in the car park as she did her shopping at the store on Monday.

She posted on Facebook: "Just one of the reasons I love living in Sunny Shawlands!

"I mean where else would you see The Predator casually doing his weekly shop in Morrisons!

"This guy won’t have any problems with people keeping the two metre rule around him."

The Predator was introduced to film fans in the movie named after him in 1987.

Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carl Weathers, the Predator has since become an iconic baddie known for being an unstoppable killing machine with advanced alien kit allowing him to become invisible.

And other bemused locals made light of his heavy level of PPE.

One commented: "He’s been wandering around for years. It’s only in the last couple of weeks his ability to camouflage himself has malfunctioned. Sitting duck for Arnie, now"

Another wrote: "To be fair, at least they have a mask on!"
