Former Hearts and Ayr United star Ryan Stevenson has signed up for a third spell at Troon.

The 35-year-old playmaker rejoins the Seasiders after a short stint at Stranraer.

He initially signed for Troon in November of 2018 after a spell out of the game, and he said the move gave him “his love of football back."

He went on to score 26 goals in 50 appearances, proving to be a hugely influential figure on and off the park.

A spokesman for Troon said: "Ryan was the sixth player who has moved up to senior football from Troon in the last two and a half seasons, something we’re extremely proud of, but with the exciting move to the new West of Scotland League set-up he is returning to add some class to our midfield & forward areas."
