Officers searched the pond and surrounding areas of the park for signs of 43-year-old Michelle Fields whose vehicle was found at Victor Ashe Park Tuesday evening. Knoxville Police were assisted by the Knox County Sheriff's Office Aviation Unit, Knox County Rescue Squad, Knoxville Fire Department and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.

Officials said bloodhounds tracked a scent to the pond area where divers spent about 35 minutes searching a section of the pond before the search was temporarily called off around 5:15 Wednesday morning.

At around 6 p.m. on Wednesday, KPD said the woman had been found safe, but gave no further details.
