The former FC Barcelona striker joined Inter Milan in 2009 off the back of an incredible treble under Pep Guardiola, and claimed a second treble the next year. To this day, Eto'o is still the only player in history to have achieved this feat.
The Cameroon legend then reunited with Mourinho at Chelsea in the Premier League three years later, but was unable to replicate the form he had shown in previous years. After scoring just 12 goals in 35 games, the former Indomitable Lions skipper left the Blues for Everton.
Despite relations appearing to be healthy between Eto'o and Mourinho, a private conversation a French broadcaster had with the ex-Real Madrid boss was leaked in February 2014, in which the manager seemed to raise concerns about Eto'o'os age.

In the conversation about the Blues' struggles at the time, Mourinho reportedly said that "the problem with Chelsea is we lack a scorer. I have one (Eto'o), but he's 32. Maybe 35, who knows?", comments that made its way back to the forward.
Soon thereafter, Eto'o branded Mourinho a "fool" for questioning his age, but in a recent interview, the African superstar appeared to bury the hatchet when asked about his former boss, with the Africa Cup of Nations' all-time top goalscorer saying the Portuguese will always be in his thoughts.
