Lenovo Yoga Duet 7i and IdeaPad Duet 3i arrive to take on the Surface Pro and Surface Go

If you are on the search for a bang-for-buck Chrome OS tablet, Lenovo’s Chromebook Duet should be on your radar. The tablet has received much praise for its performance and its price tag which starts at $279. However, if you don’t like Chrome OS but prefer Windows, then Lenovo has got you covered with its new Yoga Duet 7i and IdeaPad Duet 3i.

The two devices which have a 2-in-1 design were announced yesterday and can be called Lenovo’s take on the Surface Pro and the Surface Go.

The Yoga Duet 7i is the rival to the Surface Pro. Lenovo says it is the first-ever Yoga PC with a detachable backlit Bluetooth 5.0 keyboard which is included in the box. The tablet has a 13-inch 2K display with narrow bezels and a kickstand at the back. The press release says it has 450nits of brightness. It also ships with a Lenovo E-Color Pen for note-taking and for use in Apps such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.

Users will be able to configure the Yoga Duet 7i with up to Intel’s 10th gen Core i7 processors, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB PCIe SSD. The tablet also has Dolby Vision, Dolby Audio, Windows Hello, LTE, and boasts a battery life of up to 10.8 hours.

The Yoga Duet 7i will be available in Slate Gray and Orchid next month with a starting price tag of €1199. It will come with a folio case with keyboard and an active pen. The Yoga Duet 7i will be sold in China as the Yoga Duet 2020.

Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3i

The IdeaPad Duet 3i can be termed as the rival to the Surface Go, and Lenovo says its small size makes it ideal for students. It has a 10.3-inch FHD IPS display with 330 nits of brightness. There is a kickstand and it also ships with a detachable Bluetooth 5.0 keyboard. Its weight is stated to be 0.86 kilograms.

The tablet has support for Lenovo’s Digital Pen and also has optional LTE. Powered by Intel Pentium processors with integrated graphics, Lenovo claims a battery life of up to 7 hours. It has up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of eMMC storage.

For ports, it has two USB-C ports. It also has Dolby Audio, 360-degree microphones, Cortana digital assistant, and a webcam with a privacy shutter.

The IdeaPad Duet 3i will go on sale in July with a starting price of €429. It will be available in Graphite Gray.
