Audi A6 driver smashed into oncoming car in police chase

A Vauxhall Astra was wrecked during the crash, which happened on a residential street on Bank Holiday Monday, May 25.
Officers spotted the Audi A6 - worth around £38,000 - and the chase began.
After smashing in an oncoming vehicle, the driver fled on foot.
After a brief chase, a disqualified motorist was detained by the force. He claimed the car belonged to his brother and he had taken it without informing him.
A picture taken at the scene showed the damage caused by the collision.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police Traffic Unit said: “This Audi made off from us in Wolverhampton yesterday (May 25) and tried to ram past an oncoming Astra on a single carriageway road.

“The driver decamped and was caught after a foot chase. It turned out he was disqualified from driving and had taken his brother's car without his knowledge.”
