Stan Collymore has tipped Adama Traore to thrive if he joins Liverpool, claiming he will add a new dimension to their already stunning forward line.

Just two years after signing for Wolves for £18m, Traore has been linked with a mega-money move to Anfield, with suggestions Jurgen Klopp could launch a bid of up to £60m.

Clubs across Europe are reported to be tracking the Spaniard - with Manchester United, Man City, Real Madrid and his former side Barcelona all believed to be monitoring his progress.

According to reports in Spain, Klopp is determined to take Traore and has personally phoned the player ahead of a potential move.

And former Reds striker Collymore, believes the Wolves winger will provide a different outlet to a front line already including Mohammed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

“I like the Adama Traore-to-Liverpool rumour," he wrote in his Mirror column.

“Traore was poor at Aston Villa but was still a kid then. It was Tony Pulis who breathed new life into him at Middlesbrough.

“The Spaniard has been a revelation at Wolves and has gone from a 20-minute impact substitute to a player who offers good delivery and frightening pace.

“He could bring a real extra dimension to the champions-elect.”
