Iceland offers 20 per cent shopping discount to NHS staff
The exclusive deal is available to frontline staff from June 1-7 as a thank you to medics for their hard work in fighting the pandemic
by Brett GibbonsSupermarket Iceland is offering NHS workers a huge special discount off shopping bills in recognition of their work during the pandemic.
The exclusive 20 per cent discount is available to frontline staff as a thank you to medics for their hard work in fighting Covid-19.
The offer will only be available in Iceland and Food Warehouse stores from June 1-7, to help NHS staff save on shopping bills and enjoy their time at home.
To claim the discount NHS workers need to present their official NHS ID at the checkout and the 20 per cent will be deducted from their bill.
The discount will be available across all Iceland’s food and drink in store so workers can stock up on family favourites or fill their freezers with a few treats to see them through their shifts.
Richard Walker, managing director of Iceland, said: “We have all been in awe of the incredible work our NHS has done over the past few months during this pandemic.
"We have sought to offer our thanks in any way we can and hope this offer can help the staff enjoy time spent with their families.”
