The Rose are ready for the new season but eager for some clarity from governing bodies.

Manager Brown Ferguson has already added a clutch of new signings ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

Linlithgow Rose are hoping that a bunch of new signings will help them going into the new season.

The Rose were in tenth place, albeit with games in hand, when the The East of Scotland Football Association announced the league to be over on April 27.

After starting the season well Linlithgow lost their way but will be hoping new signings Craig Donaldson, Jamie O’Grady and Scott Stevenson can help Brown Ferguson’s men reclaim their form.

The club are looking for clarity on when they might be back on the grass playing football again.

Club president John Mahoney said: “It’s obviously been a frustrating time for us, as it has been for so many across the community. Due to the way the fixtures fell and some poor weather we haven’t actually played a home match since February 1 – five or six weeks before the lockdown.

“We’ve been really grateful to our supporters who have backed the club through our digital partnership with Fanbase and to everyone who’s continued to support our 50/50 lottery.

“Brown Ferguson has continued to work on securing the players he thinks will improve us next season. The uncertainty around when we may be in a position to resume doesn’t help but we are all in the same boat.

“As a club, we’re ready to manage matches using social distancing guidelines pretty much from now to keep our supporters safe, so much depends on how we need to manage things on the playing side. We’ll wait for guidance from the SFA on that front.”
