Redmi 1A display with 60Hz refresh rate announced at RMB 689
by Bipasha MandalAfter splitting up with the Chinese tech giant Xiaomi, Redmi will enter into the display manufacturing business. On 27th May in an event hosted by Redmi, the company will introduce the monitor with Redmi 10X, Redmi X TV, and RedmiBook 16.
Now most of the people are working from home, and taking advantage of this opportunity. Redmi has introduced the Redmi 1A. The display screen has a refresh rate of 60Hz and features a screen of 23.9-inches with IPS panel.
The monitor supports 1080p resolution and the viewing angle is 178 degrees. Furthermore, it sports three sides ultra-narrow design, and the thinnest part of the bezel is 7.3mm. Other features of the monitor include 250 nits brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, and an aspect ratio of 16: 9. The Redmi Display 1A supports fine adjustment of the pitch angle to protect the cervical spine. The back interface has VGA/D-Sub and HDMI, and it promises a three-year warranty.
The specs of Redmi 1A sounds eerily similar to that of Xiaomi 1A, and according to a few leaked pictures, both the screens look almost identical.
Ever since Redmi de-grouped from Xiaomi, the company has been trying to expand into other businesses. Redmi is mostly famous for bringing out pocket-friendly smartphones. With the Redmi 1A, it is clear that this new independent company is looking to get into the market of Smart TV and Smart accessories.
The timing for such appears to be convenient since now most people have opted out to work from home. As for the similarity between Redmi’s new monitor and Xiaomi’s new monitor, Redmi’s would definitely be a cheaper one than that of Xiaomi.
Redmi has revealed its 1A display, and it will soon go on sale. It is priced at RMB 689 in China. The global launch is yet to be announced.
