'PPE Access' working to distribute PPE to frontline workers, private businesses in the region
The not-for-profit organization hopes to be operational by June
by Maddie DemartePPE Access is a not-for-profit group that makes purchases of much-needed PPE possible for frontliners in the region.
It's accessible to frontline health care personnel, agencies and private businesses.
On it's website, PPE Access says, through a co-operative model, it's helping Waterloo Region become a leader in accessing life-saving PPE.
Managing partner, Amber French, took to Twitter to announce the launch of the organization.
"Through funds raised via a social impact investment, this NPO will bulk-purchase much needed PPE for Waterloo Region's frontline workers, Regional Agencies and private businesses," French said.
She adds, PPE Access will be running a sterilization-for-reuse program, sanitizing up to 19,200 N95 masks each day.
They hope to be operational between the middle and end of June.
