World Of Dance: Fans Accuse Makers Of Jennifer Lopez’s Show For Copying The Format Of American Idol

Jennifer Lopez’s much followed show World Of Dance made its return to the television on Tuesday. While fans were rejoicing the return of the new season, they are not very much happy with the new format that the makers have adapted. Twitter right now is full with people expressing their dislike of it and below is all you would want to know.

The NBC series, World Of Dance is led by judges Jennifer Lopez, 50, Derek Hough, 35, and Ne-Yo, 40. The show is loved by masses across the globe. However, the new season surprised fans when the contestants got to perform in front of the superstar panel in the round one qualifier itself.

According to the old and original format, the producers of the show would judge the auditions. Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough and Ne-Yo would come in much later. The participants had no clue about the change until the three came in.

This has created an outrage and fans are expressing their anger against World Of Dance. Many have even accused them of copying the format of the American Idol. A twitter user wrote, “So after several seasons, #WorldOfDance decided it would become American Idols that Think They Can Dance? No to this “new” format that’s been done to death.”

Another wrote, “I’m disappointed #WorldOfDance turned into the same formula as Idol and SYTYCD for qualifiers. The live audience throughout the show made it exciting and different.”

Below are a few reactions compiled:

World Of Dance airs every Tuesday at 10:00 PM on NBC.
