This week, BMW will lift the wraps off the new 5 Series facelift. Specifically, the updated BMW 5 Series will be presented in a livestream event on BMW's website on May 27th 2020 at 08:00 am CEST (2:00 AM EST). But BMW's product onslaught won't stop there, because another new model is being revealed just one week later. We already knew the new BMW 4 Series Coupe is breaking cover in June, but we now have an exact date. Mark your calendars everyone, because BMW will unveil the all-new 4 Series Coupe on June 2.

An accompanying teaser image also gives us our first official look at the new production 4 Series Coupe undisguised, which was previewed last year by the polarizing 4 Series Concept.

The design is cast in shadows, but we still get a glimpse of the new 4 Series' gigantic grille that extends across almost the full height of the front fascia. Love it or hate it, the larger grille will dominate the front of the new 4 Series, M4, and M3 despite mixed reactions. This is a deliberate design decision to help distinguish the new 4 Series from its 3 Series sibling.

Unfortunately for BMW, the covers have already come off the new 4 Series Coupe early, as leaked photos have already shown the car partially uncovered revealing its enlarged grille in all its glory, as well as the redesigned headlights and taillights.

Compared to the 3 Series, the new 4 Series Coupe will sit 2.24 inches lower to the ground and have a 0.9-inch wider rear track. The chassis has also been tweaked for a sportier drive.

Until the new M4 arrives, the range-topper will be the new BMW M440i xDrive Coupe, which will be powered by a 3.0-liter straight-six engine producing 382 hp in the US to match the M340i, while the base model is expected to use a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder producing 255 hp. Power will be sent to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.
