Agent Gives Update On Manqoba’s Downs Contract Situation
by Mazola MolefeManqoba Mnqgithi’s agent has given the Siya crew an update on the Mamelodi Sundowns assistant coach’s contract situation.
Following the announcement by the club last week that head coach Pitso Mosimane has agreed to extend his contract by another four years, there’s naturally been questions over the rest of his technical team, specifically Mnqgithi.

The former Golden Arrows, AmaZulu and Chippa United mentor teamed up with Mosimane in February 2014 and has been alongside ‘Jingles’ throughout Downs’ unprecedented success of four Absa Premiership titles and a CAF Champions League trophy.
Although his future at Chloorkop has not been officially confirmed, his agent, Mike Makaab of Prosport International, has said the two parties are still ironing out the finer details of a new deal and an announcement is imminent.
“We are in advanced negotiations for a new four-year deal and hope to conclude this soon,” Makaab told the Siya crew.
Mnqgithi has been part of what head coach Mosimane has described as a “proudly South African” technical team along with the club’s army of analysts.
Rulani Mokwena was part of it for three years before moving on to Orlando Pirates and now Chippa United, but it now appears only a matter of time before Mnqgithi also commits to another long-term future at Chloorkop.
