This Morning's Ruth Langsford insists she hasn't broken lockdown

This Morning’s Ruth Langsford has insisted she hasn’t broken coronavirus lockdown as she explained to critics the real reason why her hair is looking on point.

The presenter was joined by her husband Eamonn Holmes on today’s programme, who kicked things off by revealing that viewers are convinced Ruth has flouted quarantine to see a hairdresser.

Ruth admitted she’s ‘annoyed’ by accusations and ‘absolutely has not’ disregarded the regulations.

Eamonn began: ‘People get in touch through social media and they say, “Oh, Ruth’s broken lockdown. Ruth must have her own personal hairdresser.”

‘They say you look so beautiful for your age.’

He then revealed himself to be Ruth’s very own hairdresser and stylist.

As a picture appeared on the screen of Eamonn touching up Ruth’s locks, Eamonn continued: ‘I don’t like to boast, I don’t like to blow my own horn over a number of things, but there are hours of preparation that go into Ruth.

‘I put the rollers in, I touch them all up there.’

That explains it!

Ruth and Eamonn had a jam-packed show today and began by speaking with James Argent about his cocaine addiction.

The former Towie star revealed he ‘hated’ Gemma Collins at the height of his substance abuse as she never lied or covered for him.

He also praised ‘best friend’ Mark Wright for helping him fight his demons and get checked into rehab.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
