Out of Curiosity: Rescued Meerkat is Ready to Help Its New Friends

The meerkat, also known as suricate, is a small mongoose found in southern Africa. Its head-and-body length is about 30 centimetres, while its weight is usually between 0.6 and 0.9 kg.

A video shared on YouTube recently shows a meerkat named Suri meeting its owner's new acquaintances. Suri lives in Russia's Pskov in a family which takes care of abandoned or wounded wild animals.

When local journalists came to interview Suri's owners, the meerkat got very curious and started exploring a camera and a reporter's notebook.
