Another KFC branch in Derbyshire is set to reopen, it has been announced.

Bosses of the fast food giant have confirmed that the KFC restaurant in Rutland Street, Ilkeston, will reopen from today for delivery and drive-thru only.

A KFC spokesperson told Derbyshire Live: “We’re continuing to reopen restaurants across the UK on a case by case basis to make sure we’re doing it responsibly.

"We’re now back at the fryers at KFC Ilkeston and open for delivery and drive-thru!”

News of the Ilkeston reopening now means that there are at least four KFC branches back open for business in Derby and Derbyshire.

In Derby, branches at Pride Park and Foresters Leisure Park are back open for deliveries and drive-thru.

And the KFC restaurant in Lockfield Road, Chesterfield, is also open for drive-thru orders and deliveries only.

Last week Derbyshire Live reported how unusual pictures sent in appeared to show a pedestrian queuing up with vehicles to order at a KFC drive-thru in Derby.

The man appeared to walk through the car lane up to the serving booths without being stopped or encountering a problem.
