CBS is TV's most-watched network for 12th year in a row

CBS has earned the distinction of television's most-watched network for the 12th season in a row, and for the 17th time in the last 18 years.

Television's traditional season ended last week and, with production in limbo, no one knows when the fall television season will actually begin. NBC's Sunday night football telecast was the most popular program of the year, with 'NCIS' the favorite drama and 'Young Sheldon' the top comedy.

CBS won the season despite its viewership dropping 15 percent from last season. Three of the four networks lost viewership from last year with Fox the only exception, primarily because of football.
