The sudden announcement of lockdown in the wake of the coronavirus has caused the Andhra Pradesh government employees to stuck in Telangana. Similarly, many of the Andhra Pradesh secretariat employees who stay in Hyderabad could not return to the state. On the other hand, due to the lockdown, the Secretariat also remained shut for several days. The employees who stayed in their hometown of Hyderabad have not come to the state so far citing they have to be placed in home quarantine.

With the lockdown exemptions given by state and centre, around 400 employees have been returned to the Mangalagiri CK convention Hall for coronavirus tests. Those who trapped in remote areas are also heading to their own villages.

Earlier, Andhra Pradesh CS Nilam Sawhney wrote a letter to Telangana government chief secretary Somesh Kumar to evacuate Andhra Pradesh government employees trapped in Telangana. Telangana CS responded to the letter and gave permission for their buses to evacuate the said employees. 400 employees were evacuated to Amaravati on Wednesday and are undergoing corona tests.
