Calling all cat fans - there's a day to celebrate forces kitties and it even has it's own hashtag - #InternationalMilitaryHistoryCatDay.

Each year, on May 27, feline fans and military historians alike come together to share their favourite photos of cats in military settings from different times in history.

Cats are notorious for appearing in places you wouldn't expect, like cardboard boxes, in trees and underneath cars. After all, they do follow the "if I fits, I sits" mentality.
