COVID-19: Qatar reports 1,740 new coronavirus cases, two deaths

Ministry revealed it has conducted 4,769 new COVID-19 tests in last 24 hours

Dubai: Qatar has confirmed another 1,740 new Coronavirus cases (Covid-19) in the past 24 hours, while two people have died and 1,439 others have fully recovered, the Ministry of Public Health reported on Tuesday.

This brings the total number of positive COVID-19 cases in Qatar to 48,947 while there have been 13,283 recoveries overall, leaving 35,634 active cases under treatment. So far 30 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.

The ministry revealed it has conducted 4,769 new COVID-19 tests in last 24 hours, taking the total tests done so far to 201,180 tests.

Over the last 24 hours, 12 people were admitted to intensive care due to the virus, bringing the total number of cases in intensive care to 203.
