Khloe Kardashian selling house for $19million after buying it for less than half
by Kim NovakKhloe Kardashian is putting her home in Calabasas up for sale – and she’s set to make a very tidy profit if she gets her asking price of $19million (£15.4million).
A profit of over double what she bought the home for, in fact, as she paid $7.2million (£5.8million) when she bought the pad six years ago from Justin Bieber.
According to TMZ, Khloe is asking $18,950,000 for the six bedroom, seven bathroom mansion in the exclusive gated enclave of The Oaks in Los Angeles’s Calabasas area.
The Oaks is a favourite with the rich and famous thanks to the total privacy it ensures with a guarded gate to enter the neighbourhood of just 16 houses as well as a larger gate to get to the property itself, and some amazing views of the Malibu Canyon to boot.
As well as Justin Bieber, the house was also previously owned by Eddie Murphy who had bought it for his ex, Nicole Murphy.
Khloe had completely renovated the house after she bought it in 2014, including getting rid of the skate ramp Justin had had installed.
She worked with famed interior designers Waldo Fernandez and Tommy Clements to give her the house of her dreams, in true Kardashian style.
Khloe had moved into the property after divorcing Lamar Odom, as the home is just down the block from where her sister Kourtney Kardashian lives, as well as being five minutes away from Kris Jenner’s home in the Hidden Hills.
She’s been isolating in the home with her ex, Tristan Thompson, and their two-year-old daughter True amid the coronavirus pandemic – and it sounds like the perfect place to be if you’re stuck indoors for months on end.
The home is 11,000 square feet and includes a home cinema, swimming pool with a hot tub, a guest house and a meditation trail.
According to TMZ, Khloe hasn’t listed the home yet, but is up for selling the place if she gets her asking price.
We bet Justin Bieber’s kicking himself that he didn’t hang on to this prime piece of real estate for a few years longer.
