Pritam Chakraborty’s Father Prabodh Chakraborty Passes Away

Ace music composer Pritam Chakraborty's father Prabodh Chakraborty passed away on Sunday at the age of 86. Prabodh Chakraborty had been fighting a battle against Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease for over two years. He was in the hospital for the last three months. Prabodh Chakraborty's last rites were held on Sunday in Amboli with close family members in attendance.

Prabodh Chakraborty was an insurance officer and also taught light music on western instruments to young kids. Pritam got his early music training from his father and learned to play the guitar while he was in school.

On the work front, Pritam Chakraborty recently worked with director Kabir Khan for '83 and he will also be composing music for Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha.
