Cops hunt lockdown flouting yobs who brandished weapons and bricks during Johnstone disturbances
by Justin BowieCOPS are hunting yobs who were brandishing weapons and bricks in Johnstone during a number of disturbances as they flouted lockdown rules.
Police say the thugs were spotted with the dangerous items on the streets of the Renfrewshire town yesterday afternoon and evening.
They were sighted on Buchanan Street, McLaurin Crescent and Ryefield Avenue.
It came despite current Covid-19 restriction measures urging people only to go outside for essential journeys and exercise.
Officers added that there were no reports of anybody being hurt in the disturbances.
Cops launched an appeal as they urged anyone with information to come forward.
Any witnesses who can help should contact officers via 101.
