And voetballnieuws claim the Ibrox club have an interest in two further players from the Belgian First Division.

Berahino will be a name familiar with Rangers fans after his spell in England.

The 26-year-old was tipped for the very top during his time at West Brom with Tottenham having a bid rejected for the striker in 2015.

He was a regular in the England Under-21 set up before his career went on a sharp downward spiral.

Following a spell at Stoke City he moved to Zulte Waregem last season and hit eight goals in all competitions.

Benson is currently on the books at Royal Antwerp FC but boss Ivan Leko is desperate to keep him at the club.

The link with the duo comes fresh off the back of Rangers putting the finishing touches on a move for Hagi.

SunSport understands the Romanian international has already agreed personal terms on a three-year deal.

And the move could be confirmed later today.

Sky Sports report that the fee will be paid in instalments across three seasons.

Genk last night confirmed the 21-year-old was moving to Scotland but Ibrox chiefs were caught cold by the announcement and claimed no written agreement is in place.

The statement on Genk's official website was removed shortly after.
