P12M shabu seized in Olongapo

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Some P12 million worth of shabu were confiscated by police operatives under the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) in Olongapo City last Monday.

Brig. Gen. Rhodel O. Sermonia, PRO3 director, said four suspects were arrested during the buy-bust operation that led to the seizure of the illegal drugs in Barangay Sta. Rita.

He identified the suspects as Archie Boy Usenar, John Mark Serica, Jeff Dennon Rivera, and Michael Salac, all of legal age..

A poseur buyer was able to purchase one heat sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu approximately weighing 0.65 grams from the suspects.

After the suspects were arrested, policemen confiscated from the suspects’ possessions sachets of small and big heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu with approximate weight of 1 and1/4  kilograms amounting to more or less P12 million pesos and the marked bills used in the operation.

Appropriate charges for violation of Section 5 and 11 of RA 9165 are being filed against the suspects.

Sermonia said that PNP-PRO3 is continuously conducting proactive operations while invigorating its efforts to wipe out all forms of illegal drugs in order to achieve its quest for a drug free Central Luzon inspite its enormous tasks in the enforcement of the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine.

"We will have no let-up on our crackdown on all forms of lawlessness amidst this lockdown," he added.
