4 more COVID-19 carriers recorded in Quezon

LUCENA CITY --  Three more carriers of the deadly coronavirus desease (CIVID-19) were recorded in Quezon province bringing the total number of confirmed cases to eighty nine (89).

In its 12 noon bulletin, the Quezon Public Information Office (QPIO) reported that from 85 since last Sunday, 4 more cases, 3 from this city and one from Guinayangan, Quezon were added to the list of confirmed virus carriers.

QPIO chief, Ma. Janet Buelo, said one the three infected patients are from Barangays Domoit, Gulang- Gulang and Kanlurang Mayao.

Buelo said of the three, one is a Barangay Healthworker, the other one is a helper in a medical facility and the last one is a government employee.

She did not provide any detail on the infected patient from Guinayangan, the first case ever recorded in the town.

Just a few days ago, 8 'probable' COVID-19 patients were reported to have died in different medical facilities in the province.

So far, Quezon has 89 confirmed cases with 66 recoveries, 8 deaths and 11 still admitted in the hospitals.

As to the suspected COVID-19 cases, Quezon has 1,162.

Of the figures, 640 were already cleared after doing home quarantine, 386 have been discharged from hospitals, 52 on home quarantine, 56 are still confined while 28 have died.
