A new sweet shop has opened in Long Eaton - and it has proved so popular it had to restock after just three days.

Captain Flavours, in Main Street, specialises in American confectionery, chocolate, snacks, cereals and drinks.

Giant bags of caramel M&Ms, Lucky Charms Frosted Flakes, AirHeads chewy candy, Jolly Ranchers Sours and creamy-filled Cow Tales are currently on the shelves.

US drinks such as Fanta Grape and Green Apple, vanilla Dr Pepper and Calypso Ocean Blue Lemonade are also on sale.

It is the second shop for young entrepreneur Dan Khalifa, who began selling sweets from his bedroom before opening his first outlet in Alvaston, Derbyshire.

The Long Eaton shop, which used to be JJ'z Caribbean restaurant and takeaway, is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 12noon to 5pm.
