A busy link between two major routes into Bristol is closed today – for maintenance work.

Barriers have been put up at both ends of Wraxall Hill to allow Western Power to carry out tree cutting work.

It is expected the work will take around a day to complete.

Diversions have been put in place with people asked to use the B3130 and the B3128 instead.

Wraxall Hill is a busy route which links the Bristol Road B3130 and the Clevedon Road B3128.

Many use the link to get from Nailsea onto Clevedon Road and then go through Portbury to the M5.

A North Somerset Council spokesman said: “The work is anticipated to take one day and appropriate traffic signage is in place.”
