COVID-19: Oman reports 38 deaths of coronavirus today

Newly diagnosed cases include 166 Omanis, 89 foreign residents

Dubai: Oman's Health Ministry on Tuesday confirmed 255 new cases of the novel coronavirus, raising to 8,373 the country's overall infections, the Omani news agency ONA reported.

The newly diagnosed cases include 166 Omanis and 89 foreigners, the ministry said without giving a breakdown of foreign patients’ nationalities.

The ministry put the total deaths from COVID-19 at 38, one fatality higher than its previous update released on Tuesday.

The total recoveries from the disease in Oman have increased to reach 2177, the ministry said.
