Barbers arrested in Bahrain for violating rules
Expatriates held after visiting customers at home
by Tawfiq Nasrallah, Staff WriterDubai: A number of barbers have been caught red-handed in Bahrain for providing services at homes in Muharraq, Bahrain News Agency reported on Tuesday.
The expatriates were found to be visiting their customers at home and were arrested following complaints received by the authorities.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior announced that police have arrested two Asians, both aged 33, for publishing a video clip violating public morals, by organising along with other friends a party that included the use of intoxicating substances in an apartment.
The General Director of Investigation and Criminal Evidence affirmed that the violators were arrested and legal action will be taken against them. They will be referred to Public Prosecution.
“As soon as the video surfaced online, we managed to identify the identity of the violators and we arrested them immediately. Investigations are still ongoing to arrest the rest members of the group,” he added.
Additionally, the Director-General of Capital Governorate Police has also announced the arrest of two people on suspicion of stealing cars and trying to sell them.
He said an investigation led to identifying and arresting the culprits. Two vehicles were seized while attempting to sell them at a car showroom. One of those arrested was involved in a traffic accident while driving a stolen car.
The department will coordinate with the General Directorate of Traffic regarding the accident. Legal action is being taken against the offender and the case will be referred to the Public Prosecution, he said.
