Hearts’ reconstruction proposal ‘set to be rejected’ by Championship clubs
by Gary TaylorHEARTS' reconstruction proposal is set to be kicked out by Championship clubs, according to reports.
SunSport Online yesterday exclusively revealed the plan being put forward to Scotland's clubs by Ann Budge.
The SPFL board are due to meet today to discuss the details of the document.
Budge wants a 14-14-14 structure in three divisions - with an option to increase the bottom league to 16 teams.
Hearts would be saved from relegation from the Premiership with Inverness promoted along with Dundee United.
But crucially only for the next TWO YEARS.
And the Daily Mail report that clubs in Scotland's second tier are set to torpedo her proposal.
Uncertainly continues to surround the Scottish game as the coronavirus pandemic continues to cause havoc across the globe.
They report that with doubts over League One and Two teams being able to resume playing at all, the plan lacks credibility.

Another factor is likely to be the ill-feeling towards Caley Thistle chief Scot Gardiner over the SPFL's resolution to end the season.
A Hearts club statement read: "We can confirm that Heart of Midlothian circulated a paper to all 42 clubs in the SPFL asking for feedback and urgent action to address the situation Scottish Football finds itself in due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
"It is clear that the situation is changing daily and decisions need to be made quickly to safeguard as many clubs as possible.
"Flexibility and collaboration are of paramount important to find a path to deal with this emergency situation."
The Jambos were relegated from the Scottish Premiership last week after the SPFL brought an end to the current campaign.
Celtic were declared as league winners with the capital club losing their place in Scotland's top flight.
