Xiaomi could be launching the Mi TV Stick soon

As you may know, smart TVs have become more affordable these days. But this is something that's only happened in recent years, so there are plenty of people who don't have them. In that case, plugging in an external device would work. Xiaomi has just the thing in the works too, as it has been hinted that the company has a Mi TV Stick coming soon.

According to WinFuture, an official picture of the device was revealed and it tells us a few things. First is the Mi TV Stick itself, which is a long USB device that's in all-black. It's expected to have some internal storage built-in, as well as a MicroSD slot for additional storage. Secondly, the controller shows that it's going to support Netflix and Amazon Video out of the box.

The Xiaomi Mi TV Stick first appeared a few weeks ago via Gearbest, which revealed far more details on its website. Allegedly, this will run on Android 9 and will have Google Assistant, as well as support for 4K HDR and Dolby Stereo Sound. Under the hood, it features a quad-core Amlogic CPU, 2GB of RAM, and 8GB of eMMC storage.

The Xiaomi Mi TV Stick is expected to retail for 80 Euros (~RM383), so that's something to consider if you're planning to 'upgrade' your 4K TV. Having said that, would you be interested in getting this or just stick to watching subscription services on other devices?
