The club confirmed the news on their official social channels on Wednesday.

“@HighlandsP_FC confirms the amicable parting of ways with Tendai Ndoro following a meeting between both parties late on Tuesday.

"The club wishes him well and is thankful for his contribution in the team as well as the professionalism displayed during his time with us,” the statement read from the club.

The Siya crew reported in January that Highlands had started engaging in talks with the Zimbabwean forward behind the scenes to try and persuade him to stay, but negotiations broke down, with the former Orlando Pirates man being a notable absentee from coach Owen da Gama’s line-ups in the second half of the season.

The 35-year-old made 14 appearances for the Lions of the North this season, having made his last appearance on January 08, during the 1-0 loss against Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium.

Ndoro’s existing deal was set to expire at the end of the 2019/20 campaign.
