Special adviser on media and publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari, Femi Adesina, says he believes his boss is doing well.
Adesina made the comment via a tweet on Tuesday, May 26 in reaction to an alleged news story making the rounds quoting him wrongly.
“In fact, we are lucky to have him at a time like this. All attempts to demonize me will fail,” part of his statement read.
Adesina has been in the eye of the storm recently following an article he wrote years ago about the president's newly appointed chief of staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari.

The title of the article was Gambari: The Slap Next Time published in Daily Sun newspaper on Saturday, July 12, 2018.
Adesina, a respected journalist, was the managing director/editor-in-chief of the newspaper before he was appointed by the president in 2015.
A recent report claimed Adesina is already making desperate moves to mend his relationship with Professor Gambari, 12 years after the damning article.
Some Nigerians have called for the resignation of the president's media aide ever since the article resurfaced on social media.
Adesina, has, however, directly not addressed the issue since Gambari was appointed.
Meanwhile, a recent media indicates that the sack of the former managing director of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Mr Usman Mohammed, has pitted the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr Boss Mustapha, against Professor Gambari, and organised labour.
According to the report, labour has alleged that the SGF queried the sacking of Mohammed, approved by President Buhari through the office of Professor Gambari.

In a related development, a coalition 21 civil society stakeholders drawn from National Power Sector Stakeholders' Forum has urged President Buhari to call the SGF to order.
The groups accused the SGF of undermining the statutory powers of cabinet ministers for alleged pecuniary reasons.
