Chiredzi Hospital Drama As Good Samaritan Kidnaps Woman’s New Born

Chiredzi police are looking for a light skinned woman, who is believed to be in her 30s, after she vanished with a new born infant  at Chiredzi District Hospital on Sunday afternoon.

The woman is reported to have masqueraded as a good Samaritan and offered to carry 19 year old Juliet Sibili (19)’s newborn baby.

Sibili had just been discharged from the maternity ward, after giving birth to her baby girl when the unidentified woman pounced.

The police are yet to release an official statement on the case.

According to Masvingo Mirror, the case has been reported and Chiredzi Police is investigating it under case number RRB 4285713.

According to close sources, Sibili and her mother Kaishi Harurumu (43) accepted the ‘kind’ stranger’s  help, after the woman noticed the ZCC star on Sibili’s clothes and claimed she also goes to the same church.

Sibili was still weak after giving birth as she had a Ceaserean section and had some bleeding and discomfort, thus needed all the assistance she could get.

The 3 women left the hospital for ZCC Wellness Centre where Harurumu had been staying, while waiting for her daughter to give birth.

Harurumu excused herself and went to bid people at the Wellness Center farewell and left her daughter outside, in the company of the stranger.

The stranger then told a weak Sibili that she wanted to see a nearby relative briefly and left with the baby, while Sibili remained behind.

Harurumu returned and the stranger still hadn’t returned with the baby.

It was still in the afternoon when the incident happened, and the mother and daughter duo waited for her to return until sunset.

They decided to report the matter to the police.
