800 HP Dodge Hellcat Redeye now available for PhP 7.890M
2020 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye let loose with 807 PS, 959 Nm of torque
by Marcus De GuzmanMissed out on getting your own Dodge Demon? Well, Auto Nation Group (ANG) is now giving fans of the muscle car a chance to get Demon-like performance for the 2020 Challenger. Following the company's virtual launch of the Jeep Compass and Renegade, ANG has also (quietly) launched the 2020 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye.
First launched back in mid-2018, this particular Challenger Hellcat is not your typical supercharged muscle car. With the 'Redeye' tag on its name, it produces more horsepower and torque than the standard Hellcat. Instead of just cranking out 727 PS and 890 Nm of torque, the Redeye generates a whopping 807 PS and a gut-pulling 958 Nm of torque. This makes the Hellcat Redeye the most powerful muscle car in production yet.
Allowing the Redeye to produce that much power is a souped-up 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8. While it may be similar in size to a Hellcat's engine, this particular Challenger gets a bevy of upgrades like a bigger supercharger, stronger pistons and connecting rods, revised valvetrain, improved lubrication, higher engine redline (from 6200 rpm to 6500 rpm), and dual fuel injectors.
All of these translate to an impressive 0 – 100 km/h sprint of 3.4 seconds, and a top speed of 327 km/h. It can then be mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, or an eight-speed Torqueflite automatic transmission.
Besides getting a more powerful V8 under the hood, the Hellcat Redeye also comes with several key upgrades – SRT-tuned Bilstein suspension with adaptive dampers, 20-inch SRT forged alloy wheels with 275/40/ZR20 tires, high-performance six-piston Brembo brakes, and the Power Chiller/After-Run Chiller cooling systems derived from the Demon.
As far as amenities and creature comforts are concerned, the Hellcat Redeye is available with the following: dual-zone automatic climate control, premium leather seats, 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment with navigation, and an 18-speaker sound system.
The 800+ HP Challenger Hellcat Redeye is now available with a suggested retail price of PhP 7,890,000.
