After the first NASCAR races in America, Europe's first race is also back on track with the Austrian Grand Prix. However, the Red Bull Ring will already be used by KTM's MotoGP team.

For example, Speedweek.com has announced that the KTM factory team will be holding a two-day test on the Red Bull Ring. These will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at the circuit in Spielberg, making it the first time a MotoGP machine has been in action since preparation for the season in Qatar.

First meters will be made again

Due to the coronavirus, MotoGP, like Formula 1, didn't start and is already waiting for the weather to race. Now that measures in countries such as Austria are already being relaxed, there is the possibility of testing again for the teams. In this case, however, this is a private test conducted by the KTM factory team.

According to Motorsport.com, the Austrian racing stable will use Pol Espargaro during the test. First the team had to ask race director Mike Webb for his permission, but he agreed. In addition, the race stable would also be testing next week at the circuit of Brno in the Czech Republic.
