Cristiano Ronaldo training on his own away from Juventus teammates after quarantine
by Darren Wells, https://www.mirror.co.uk/authors/darren-wells/Cristiano Ronaldo is training on his own away from his Juventus teammates despite coming out of a two-week quarantine.
The Portuguese superstar was forced to self-isolate at his home in Turin for a period of 14 days after landing back in the country from his native Madeira.
Having since completed the government-enforced lockdown, Ronaldo has returned to Juventus' Continassa training ground, but is working on his own conditioning while his teammates take part in small group sessions.
Ronaldo has been keeping fit during the lockdown, regularly posting updates of his personal sessions - some of which were at Madeira's Nacional stadium.
He first returned to the Juventus Training Center last Tuesday for the first time in over two months, and was cleared to take part in sessions after undergoing tests for coronavirus.
Last week he posted a picture on social media of him back out on the pitch, along with the caption: "When we become patient and consistent, we find the way to get through the difficulties."
The forward followed that up with an outrageous trick shot on Monday.
In a clip uploaded to his story on Instagram, Ronaldo can be seen standing over some balls before he dinks one toward a target which begins off-screen.
As the brilliant trick shot unfolds, it's later shown that Ronaldo was aiming at a basketball hoop with the ball successfully hitting off the backboard before watching on as it perfectly dropped in.
Football in Italy is gearing up for a return, with Serie A keen to resume the season from some point in June.
Italy's minister for sport Vincenzo Spadafora has suggested the campaign is likely to restart again on either the weekend of June 13 or 20.
Juventus top the table by a point from rivals Inter Milan as they chase their ninth consecutive league title.
